DOES ORTHOBOX REDUCE ACTUAL BONDING TIME AT THE DENTAL CHAIR?

HOW IS AN ORTHOBOX CLEANED AND WHEN?

After each use, the Orthobox must be cleaned outside and inside using anti-bacterial, with or without alcohol-free wipes. A special cleaning tool for getting into the corners of the tabs is provided with each Orthobox.
Only sterilized tweezers and orthodontic brackets must be inserted into the Orthobox.

WHAT IF A BRACKET FALLS INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE ORTHOBOX?

This can happen if the bracket has been incorrectly positioned on the tweezers or if the orthodontist did not correctly follow the instructions for removing the tweezers from the box. It is however easy to recover the bracket with the tweezers, by placing the Orthobox horizontally and opening the tab.
Do not forget to clean any deposits of adhesive which may collect at the bottom of the compartment.

WHAT IF ONE OF THE PARTS BREAKS?

Contact your distributor.

WHAT IF ONE OF THE TABS BECOMES LOOSE?

A screwdriver is provided to adjust the tension of the tabs. The adjusting screw is located at the base of each tab.

WHAT IF I HAVEN’T USED ALL THE BRACKETS FOR A PATIENT?

The orthodontist’s assistant will first check the patient’s records before preparing the Orthobox, according to the number of extracted or missing teeth. This way, any unused brackets can be used for other patients while retaining full traceability. If a pre-coated bracket has been placed in the Orthobox, but is not used by the orthodontist, it is advisable to remove the adhesive in order to be able to re-use the bracket.

HOW SHOULD THE ORTHOBOX BE PRESENTED TO THE ORTHODONTIST?

The Orthobox can be prepared while the patient is in the chair. In this case, only those tweezers needed will be put in the box.
